UFC Fighters React to T.J. Dillashaw Finishing “No Love” Garbrandt at UFC 217

The crowd at New York’s Madison Square Garden was on its feet during the co-main event for Saturday night’s UFC 217. In one of the three intense title fights offered on the night’s fight card, Cody Garbrandt set out to make his first UFC bantamweight title defense in a fight against a former champion and a former teammate.

T.J. Dillashaw earned the bantamweight title while training under Team Alpha Male, alongside Cody Garbrandt. However Dillashaw left the training camp shortly after achieving his title. “No Love” and Dillashaw have been rivals ever since.

The two fighters got a chance to settle the score at UFC 217’s co-main event, as Dillashaw challenged Garbrandt for his bantamweight belt. “No Love” nearly finished the fighter in the first round with a powerful right hand that dropped Dillashaw, however the fighter survived the round. In the second round, Dillashaw earned a TKO victory over his opponent for the UFC bantamweight title.
