Fight fans are pouring into the Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, Canada Saturday night, Dec. 16, for UFC on FOX 26. The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting a fight card filled with exciting match ups during the night’s event. Kicking off the night’s FS1 preliminary card, middleweights Alessio Di Chirico and Oluwale Bamgbose are facing off for the Winnipeg crowd. Take a look at the UFC results below:
The first round opened with Di Chirico setting the pace. The fighter moved forward on Bamgbose with a series of leg kicks and well timed jabs. Bamgbose retaliated with some short punch combinations, but then found himself on the wrong end of a knee to the head from the Muay Thai clinch.
Halfway through the round, Di Chirico managed to drop his opponent with an unorthodox spinning strike. But, Bamgbose quickly made his way back to his feet.
In the final moments of the round, Bamgbose tried for a takedown but was unable to get his opponent to the canvas before the bell. Di Chirico seemingly put on a dominant performance in the fight’s first round.
The second round kicked off with Alessio Di Chirico continuing the fight at a swift pace. With a brutal series of knees from the clinch, Di Chirico put an end to his opponent for a brutal knockout victory.
