UFC strawweight Angela Magana made her first octagon appearance since 2015 at Saturday’s, Dec. 2, UFC 218. The event took place inside the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan and offered a night filled with exciting fights. However, Magana’s match up simply did not go her way. Now the fighter is disputing the stoppage over social media.
Prior to UFC 218, Magana’s most recent fight was against Michelle Waterson at The Ultimate Fighter 21 finale back in 2015. This time around, the fighter faced off against Amanda Cooper for the Detroit crowd. Cooper was coming off of a loss of her own, as the fighter faced a first round submission loss to Cynthia Calvillo at UFC 209.
Still, Cooper came out on top with a TKO victory over Magana at Saturday’s big match up. Taking to Twitter, Angela Magana has now offered her thoughts on the TKO stoppage.
Check out the fighter’s thoughts in the Twitter posts below:
“I need to walk in the cage with a banana in my shorts and a crew cut then maybe the ref will let the fight go. Men can fucking tap out from strikes get hit and the ref wont stop it till 7 shots later after near death expierence.”

“In no way by wanting another round am I taking anything from Amanda, in fact her dominance of me could have been far worst I just wanted that opportunity to let that transpire and have another go”

“Amanda was fucking bashing me & overpowering me, I wasnt rocked still moving was completely aware I immediately sat back & bitched at ref. Heard my corner yell out I had less than 30 seconds. I was thugging it out hoping for a 3rd & have a chance back on my feet again. “

“As for me I absolutely can’t wait to get back to training & get another fight. Fighting is a process I learned so much in this journey for #UFC 218. I watched my fight, happy w the challenge my stand up improved and now to work on improving more”

“Sometimes cameras make you look worst or maybe lots of times. This time it’s making me look better you can’t appreciate the swelling as much.”
