The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was down in Fresno, Calif. on Saturday, Dec. 9, for the promotion’s latest mixed martial arts event. Inside the Save Mart Center, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion hosted UFC Fight Night 123. The event featured a fight card filled with entertaining match ups. That being said, some of the night’s octagon performances certainly stood out. Marlon Moraes shocked the Fresno crowd with a debilitating first round knockout over Aljamain Sterling.
Sterling remained unconscious on the canvas for some time before being lifted out of the octagon on a stretcher. With that in mind, Moraes has decided to take to social media to share his thoughts on the matter.
Taking to Twitter, Moraes offered his respect and concerns for his defeated opponent.
“Thank God for the win but way more importantly praying that Aljamain is fine and 100 % healthy !! This game is nothing compared to our health . Must respect for him and his amazing team !”
