Nate Diaz has put on a storied career in the sport of mixed martial arts. The fighter has gone on to face some seriously tough opponents. From the likes of Donald Cerrone to Gray Maynard, the UFC superstar has made a career of taking out talented competitors. With that in mind, there is one moment in the fighter’s career that fight fans are particularly talking about.
Diaz shocked the world when he choked out UFC megastar Conor McGregor at UFC 196. Diaz would go on to form one of the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion’s most entertaining rivalries with “Notorious.” The two MMA warriors faced off again at UFC 202, with McGregor earning a close decision victory over his opponent. Now 1-1 in their heated rivalry, many fight fans are hopeful for a third potentially pay-per-view record shattering match up between Diaz and McGregor. That being said, there are still those to criticize Diaz’s success against the UFC superstar in their first throw down. Among them is UFC President Dana White.
White repeatedly publicized his point that he believes Diaz had a size advantage over McGregor in their welterweight match up. However, Diaz is naturally a lightweight just like McGregor. As a result, Diaz showed his real opinion on the criticism when appearing on FOX’s UFC Tonight.
During a commercial break, the cameras kept rolling and Nate Diaz revealed his thoughts on the criticism concerning his impressive performance over “Notorious.” Check it out in the video above.
