Conor McGregor Planning On Returning To Action, In Russia

UFC champ Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor has not competed inside the octagon since his title earning victory over Eddie Alvarez. With that in mind, the UFC megastar has not been entirely idle either. Now it would appear that “Notorious” is looking overseas for a match up.

McGregor has been taking some time away from mixed martial arts to hone his boxing skills. The fighter made his debut inside the squared circle on Aug. 26, taking on undefeated pugilist legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. While Mayweather earned a TKO victory over “Notorious,” McGregor earned the payday of his career.

McGregor has since revealed that he is interested in making an octagon return, though an official match up has yet to be announced for the fighter. Now McGregor has taken to social media to reveal that he hopes to compete in Russia sometime soon.

Over Instagram, McGregor stated:

“I am proud of my brother Artem @rushammer Lobov. Inside the world famous Kremlin compound discussing and teaching our training methods to the Russian federal reserve on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. One day soon I will visit Russia and potentially compete there for my Russian fans, alongside my brother Artem. Thank you to all our Russian supporters for recognising our lifetime of hard work and supporting us along the entire way!”
