Earlier today UFC President Dana White revealed that the rumors of Floyd Mayweather to the UFC are actually legit. Now, Floyd has his first championship caliber callout, and it comes from MMA’s pound-for-pound king, Demetrious Johnson.
Last week Floyd was first to drop the bombshell, “They just called me not too long ago and asked me to come back,” said Mayweather. I can come right back. If I wanted to, I can come right back to the UFC. I can go fight in the Octagon. I can do a three- or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars. Remember, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.”
Then yesterday Joe Rogan revealed what he knew, stating, “Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC, like legitimately.”
Now Dana White just told ESPN that there’s truth to these statements. The UFC President stated, “We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal. It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media, and then that s— ends up happening.
He continued to confirm that it’s a real possibility.
“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f—ing happened. Anything is possible.”
Now, taking all these statements into consideration, the UFC flyweight champion has made an official callout for a GOAT vs. GOAT fight, and he’s willing to move up in weight to make it happen.

Demetrious Johnson is expected to face T.J. Dillashaw in his next title defense in a champion vs. champion bout for the ages. Though a Floyd Mayweather bout would absolutely trump that bout’s potential.
