The bad luck continues for former two time UFC title challenger Ian McCall with the latest MMA results from Rizin MMA. The top ranked flyweight was on the wrong end of an odd stoppage early this morning in Japan. Ian McCall was finished in the first round of his fight at the Rizin World Grand Prix 2017, but it was not his opponent’s doing. Instead, Ian McCall got cut after his face was dragged on the ropes, and the fight was stopped.

The Rizin debut for McCall was supposed to be his resurgent coming out party. The former number one ranked UFC flyweight was expected to return to form and easily take out his inexperienced foe.

Instead, Ian McCall continues his run of bad luck, and dropped another fight.
