Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo Jr. is set to face off with Max Holloway in a rematch for the UFC’s featherweight world title. Taking to today’s early morning weigh-ins, to make the title fight official, Jose Aldo was seen struggling on the scales, even missing his first weigh-in attempt.
Luckily, a main event crisis was averted, because after taking off his fight shorts, the former UFC champion successfully hit the championship mark, but it was an intense an scary moment for onlookers, who witnessed the former champion struggling on the scales.
UFC 218 was originally scheduled to feature a Max Holloway vs. Frankie Edgar main event, However, with two weeks on the clock, Edgar pulled out with an injury, making way for Jose Aldo to secure a rematch for the belt he once held.
UFC 218 goes down December 2nd from the Little Caesars arena in Detroit, Michigan. The night’s main card airs live on pay-per-view.
