UFC welterweight Colby Covington has become a controversial character in the world of mixed martial arts as of late. Now it would appear that Covington is being blocked on Twitter by his fellow fighters.
The fighter earned a unanimous decision victory over Demian Maia back at UFC Fight Night 119 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. However, it was not until the Covington’s post-fight interview that the Brazilian crowd grew restless. Covington called Brazil a “dump” and the arena’s crowd “filthy animals.”
Since then, Covington has been receiving heated messages from fight fans and fellow fighters alike. Things hit a high point for the fighter’s controversy in Sydney, Australia when former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum struck Colby Covington with a boomerang. Covington has since decided to press charges against the former title holder.
Taking to Twitter, Covington has since revealed that the likes of Fabricio Werdum, Tyron Woodley and Rafael dos Anjos have since blocked him on the social media platform. Speaking on the matter, Covington stated:
“You can block it on twitter but the chaos sensation is sweeping the world!!! It can’t be stopped!!!”
