Max Holloway
UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has had quite the year. The fighter has only competed inside the octagon twice in 2017. But, “Blessed” has shocked fight fans with both of his dominant performances.
First, Holloway faced off against featherweight legend Jose Aldo at UFC 212 in an attempt to unify his interim title. Well, Holloway went on to earn a TKO finish over the champion for the title he had worked so hard to achieve.
Holloway went on to face Aldo again at UFC 215, putting on another dominant performance and earning yet another TKO victory over the former champion. After his victory at UFC 215, Holloway was proposed a question by longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan.
Rogan asked the reigning champion if he considers himself one of the greatest fighters of all time. However, Holloway was hesitant to accept the possibility. Now, as heard in the video below, Holloway has come forward to explain his reasoning.
“I always said, women lie and men lie. Numbers don’t lie. I’ve got a bunch of records inside of the featherweight division, but to be the greatest of all time you need championship numbers and Jose (Aldo) is he one that got it. But, I’ve got nothing but time. I’m coming, my time is coming.” – Max Holloway
