Kelvin Gastelum put on a dominant performance over former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping at UFC Fight Night 122 in Shanghai, China. While the fighter earned a first round knockout over “The Count,” Gastelum will not be receiving a shot at the undisputed middleweight title. Rather, former champion Luke Rockhold and interim champion Robert Whittaker will be battling it out for the belt. Since hearing the news, Gastelum has gone to social media to show his frustration over the situation. Now it would appear that the fighter has turned down a main event opportunity in the wake of the news.
Manager to Yoel Romero, Malki Kawa has gone to social media to reveal that Gastelum has allegedly turned down an offer to fight Romero in the main event of UFC Fight Night 125.
“Wow, Gastelum turned the Romero fight down. Unreal #anytimeAnywhere? #reallythough?”
