Professional mixed martial artists are more than just fighters. To fans, they are entertainers. In front of roaring crowds, MMA competitors step inside cages to battle it out among a bevy of cheers and boos from the suspecting audience. As a result, things can get quite exciting inside the cage. Though for Tyler Meadows, things got a little out of hand.
Tyler Meadows earned himself a TKO victory over Dylan Carpenter during an Impact Fight League event, but the fight did not end there. Rather, Meadows opted to leap over the fence and rush a cage side fan. The fan was a fellow fighter and Meadows was seemingly looking to entice the competitor. The spectating fighter quickly grabbed a hold of Meadows and the two fighters struggled beside the cage before being pulled apart by those nearby.
Meadows is not the only fighter to leap across the cage during a match up. UFC superstar Conor McGregor was cage side for Bellator 187, when the fighter decided to leap over the fence to confront referee Marc Goddard as McGregor’s teammate was fighting.
