Forrest Griffin is a legend of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The mixed martial arts phenom was featured on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter. There, the fighter made history alongside fellow competitor Stephan Bonnar. The two MMA warriors made it to the finals of the season’s tournament and squared off for a battle that is still considered by many fight fans to be one of the greatest fights of the promotion’s history.
Griffin would go on to defeat his opponent by way of decision after an all-out war inside the octagon, but both fighter’s were offered contracts with the promotion for their impressive feat of heart and determination.
Griffin then took the UFC by storm, taking on some of the toughest competitors in the sport. The fighter would eventually earn the UFC light heavyweight title and find himself in the UFC Hall of Fame. The former champion has since hung up his gloves and found other ways to spend his time, including being a published author. With that in mind, it would appear that Griffin has decided to show his dedicated following of fight fans that he can still make weight if he needs to.
Taking to Instagram, Griffin offered the whimsical message of “Cus why wouldn’t you practice a weight cut.”
