Much has been made about the return of UFC lightweight star Khabib Nurmagomedov, as he readies for Friday’s UFC 219 weigh in event. After several mishaps with the scales, and being absent all year from the Octagon, Khabib reveals his new body, and he’s ripped and a pound under ahead of the UFC 219 weigh in, this Friday.
Khabib faces off with Edson Barboza in Saturday’s UFC 219 co-main event. His last scheduled appearance was at UFC 209, against Tony Fergusn, for the UFC interim lightweight belt. However, Khabib was unable to make weight, and instead hit the hospital instead of the scales.
When UFC athletes check into the UFC offices, it is known that the organization likes their fighters to hit the scales for a weight check. The UFC encourages athletes to check in at no more than 10% above their contracted weight limit.
According to reports, not only did the weight cut embattled Khabib hit that mark, he was already a pound under.
His head coach from AKA has posted a photo of the undefeated Sambo master, and Khabib Nurmagomedov appears more ripped than ever ahead of this weekend’s bout.
