UFC Fighters Who Needed To Strip Down To Make Weight, Miesha Tate Edition

For years now athletes fighting in the UFC have narrowly escaped missing weight, by taking off their clothes and stepping on the scales naked. Fighters like Johny Hendricks, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and Daniel Cormier are the poster boys for the UFC towel, but they’re not alone. In this new one, we feature former UFC champion Miesha Tate stripping down to make weight.

While Tate made the weight, she would go on to lose to Amanda Nunes by way of a first round rear-naked choke. After the fight, Tate would later go on to face Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 where she ultimately left her gloves inside the octagon, announcing her retirement.

Since her retirement, Tate has picked up a job as an analyst for FOX Sports 1 where she hosts UFC Tonight among other fight-night coverage shows. Tate has found life after the octagon, but she admitted in the past that there are a couple revenge fights that could bait her out of retirement.
