In last night’s UFC Fight Night 123 co-main event, popular featherweight fighter Jason Knight shockingly bit his opponent, Gabriel Benitez, in the first round of their fight. Now, we have UFC fighter reactions to the incident.
Knight, aka “Hick Diaz” is known for his Diaz like persona in the cage, and as such has rapidly become popular among UFC fans. However, last night’s performance was more like a bad Walking Dead episode than a Diaz brothers scrap.
Knight maintains the bite was accidental, however many fighters seem to question that. The referee immediately took a point away for the incident, though Knight wasn’t even close to winning the fight. The bite did more harm than good, both literally and figuratively.
