UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber stopped by Saturday night’s UFC 219 in support of two of the MMA legend’s fighters. With that in mind, Faber had some positive words on the well being of lightweight phenom Sage Northcutt as well.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Las Vegas, Nev. on Saturday night, Dec. 30, for UFC 219. The exciting event hosted a fight card filled with exciting match ups, including an octagon performance from Team Alpha Male’s Rick Glenn and Cynthia Calvillo. As the founder of Team Alpha Male, Faber was present for the night’s event in support of the two talented competitors.
While Team Alpha Male’s Sage Northcutt was not on the night’s card, Faber offered a few words on the fighter during a media scrum at UFC 219. When asked about Northcutt, Faber responded:
“As far as a positive energy, I’ve never really met anyone like that. He brings joy wherever he is. He’s like Santa, with abs. It’s really cool to have him in the room. He just brightens the mood, everybody loves him. He’s genuine. The way he comes off is real genuine and he learns super fast. It’s crazy.”
Northcutt has yet to be defeated in the lightweight division of the UFC, having most recently earned a unanimous decision victory over Michel Quinones.
