Earlier today, and seemingly out of nowhere, boxing great Floyd Mayweather decided it was a good day to provoke a social media feud with Conor McGregor.
Taking to his twitter account, Floyd Mayweather issued the following message to his former opponent.
I already fucked you up in 2017 now they about to fuck you up in 2018. You’re about to start your new year off with a bang ??⛏?⚰️

This has prompted Conor McGregor to respond in kind. A rarity for the Irish star, who usually only engages with those his equal when it comes to wars of words.
With Floyd being his equal in star power, and with Conor McGregor reportedly wanting a rematch against Mayweather above all things, McGregor took no time to rush to his twitter account and respond.
The UFC lightweight world champion stated,
I am the cartel.
I am the cartel.

And boom! Conor ties their series 1-1.
