UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov made his big octagon return at UFC 219. “The Eagle” suffered a brutal weight management issue in the past that forced the fighter to be pulled from his interim title fight match up at UFC 209. As a result, Nurmagomedov spent much of 2017 recovering from the hospitalizing injury.
For his big return, the fighter faced off against Edson Barboza at UFC 219. Nurmagomedov put on a dominant display over his opponent, earning a unanimous decision victory. UFC President Dana White has since come forward to reveal plans to allegedly strip UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor of his title to make space for an undisputed title fight between “The Eagle” and current interim champion Tony Ferguson.
Nurmagomedov and White recently visited a basketball together, at which the undefeated UFC fighter decided to take advantage of the moment. “The Eagle” began streaming live from social media, putting Dana White in the spotlight.
When White realized he was on a live social media feed, the UFC president began chanting “Khabib time.” Check it out in the video below:
