Frank Mir has put on a storied career in the sport of mixed martial arts. The heavyweight is a former champion in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Under the banner of the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion, Mir put on a series of exciting match ups including a heated rivalry with fellow former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. While Mir has not competed inside the octagon since his first round knockout loss to Mark Hunt back in 2016, the heavyweight is now back in training in preparation for his Bellator MMA debut.
Mir is set to compete in the new Bellator heavyweight tournament grand prix set to take place this year. The former UFC heavyweight champion is currently being lined up to face off against MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko in April. The winner of the large tournament will be crowned the heavyweight champion of the promotion.
While Mir is deep in his training, the heavyweight recently took a moment to share a video with his fight fans over social media. Taking to Instagram, Frank Mir revealed that his daughter has been hitting the heavy bag along side him.
