There’s been rumblings of a potential rematch between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather as of late, and that’s due in part to the two fighters recently kicking up dust on social media, exchanging insults at a new increased rate.
Both Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather left the historic MayMac event with respect for each other, but last week Floyd Mayweather went in on Conor McGregor using his official social media platforms to diss the Irish star repeatedly.
McGregor would respond in kind, and now the hype is somewhat back.
Even UFC president Dana White is aware of the rumors, and he’s not interested in doing another crossover money fight between the two sporting mega-stars.
During Sunday night’s post fight fight media scrum the UFC president revealed that he’s aware of the hype, and even knows that Floyd’s been making a minor promotional push by running around Las Vegas wearing Conor McGregor T-Shirts.
None of it really makes sense, but the UFC boss isn’t pleased with the situation, and only wants Conor McGregor to return to the UFC.
Here’s what Dana said:
“No, I don’t want to do [Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor] again.”
“I heard Floyd Mayweather showed up last night at one of the night clubs in Vegas with a Conor McGregor T-shirt on.
“And I know these guys have been talking shit. But, I want Conor to start training again and come back and defend his title.”
What about you guys? Are you down for Part II, or do you want to see McGregor back in the UFC?
