Here we are, just four days out from the UFC’s first pay-per-view of 2018, and on short notice the night’s fight card has taken a hit thanks to that injury bug.
UFC 220 features a UFC heavyweight world title fight in the night’s main event, between champion Stipe Miocic, and challenger Francis Ngannou. This fight alone is worth the price of admission, but the UFC has also booked a co-main event title fight in the form of Daniel Cormier and Volkan Oezdemir.
Now, reliable MMA reporter James Lynch of Sports Illustrated reported one of the night’s female bouts is off.
He stated, “Just spoke to a source close to the situation that Jamie Moyle is off Saturday’s #UFC220 card due to injury. Her opponent Maryna Moroz has already landed in Boston. Will be tough to find a replacement on a few days notice.”
