Rock fans were dealt some devastating news today, as the lead singer of The Cranberries has passed away. Now Irish UFC competitors have decoded to come forward with their reactions to the tragic death of Dolores O’Riordan.
The Cranberries are an Irish alternative rock band that rose to worldwide fame in the early 1990’s. Eventually head by vocalist Dolores O’Riordan, the band would go on release a discography of highly acclaimed music that has gone on to inspire a new generation of folk rock and alternative musicians.
It has since been reported that Dolores O’Riordan has passed away at the age of 46. The cause of O’Riordan’s death has yet to be determined.
The official Twitter page of The Cranberries has since offered a statement on the matter.
“We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries. The world has lost a true artist today.

Now Irish MMA veteran and former UFC fighter Paddy Holohan has offered his thoughts over social media.

Fellow Irish native and former UFC fighter Aisling Daly has since provided her thoughts on the matter.
Taking to Instagram, she stated:
“Shocked and saddened at the death of a very talented Irish woman at such a young age. I’m forever grateful for the experience, her haunting voice and poignant lyrics created one of the most positively memorable moments of my life.”
