UFC color-commentator Joe Rogan is a veteran of his profession. Among other things, the man critiques and observes mixed martial arts in action for hoards of fans from cage side. Beyond that, Rogan is a black belt in Taekwondo and earned a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under BJJ phenom Eddie Bravo at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu. With all of that in mind, Rogan has taken to his famous podcast Joe Rogan Experience to break down why he is not so fond of Steven Seagal’s supposed technique.
Action movie star Steven Seagal is a 7th-dan black belt in the martial art of Aikido. Still, the actor has received some serious criticism from fans throughout his career. Speaking on the matter, Rogan has decided to offer his opinion on Seagal’s form after watching a series of demonstration videos from the movie star.
“This would never work against a trained fighter, never…not in a million years. You get a NCAA division one wrestler, he’s going to shoot on this guy and this guy is going to be on his head in seconds. It just doesn’t work.”
