UFC welterweight Colby Covington has been receiving some serious heat from fighters and fight fans ever since his controversial remarks at UFC Sao Paulo. With that in mind, Tyron Woodley and Covington have been spotted together in a new photo. Perhaps the heat between the two fighters is not all that bad.
After defeating Demian Maia at the event, Covington referred to the Sau Paulo crowd as “filthy animals” and called Brazil a “dump.” Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum would go on to assault the fighter with a boomerang for the incident.
After Covington pressed charges against Werdum for the assault, the fighter gained another wave of heat from fellow fighters and fans. Among them, teammate and reigning UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has gone on to claim that the UFC should release Covington from his contract for the incidents.
Now a new image of Woodley and Covington spending time in the gym together as surfaced to the internet. Check out the photo of the two fighters seemingly getting along down below:
