Bellator MMA payed a visit to Inglewood, Calif. on Saturday night, Jan. 20, to host yet another exciting night of fights. This time around, the mixed martial arts promotion provided the highly anticipated fight card of Bellator 192 for fight fans.
Co-headlining the event, Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima faced off against former UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald. While the fight did not go Lima’s way, the mixed martial arts warrior dealt some serious damage to the leg of “Red King” during the match up.
Lima and MacDonald ultimately went the distance, offering fans five rounds of brutal action from inside the cage. In the end, MacDonald walked away with a title earning decision victory over his opponent.
With that in mind, Lima chopped away at MacDonald’s legs during the fight with terrifying kicks. By the end of the match, MacDonald was unable to stand on his own and was carried backstage before being transported to the hospital for his injury.
Check out a photo of MacDonald’s massive leg contusion down below, as provided by MMA Junkie. The brutalized leg may go down as one of the worst in MMA history.
