Well, the time has finally come. UFC’s Paige VanZant is now set to make her flyweight debut.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in St. Louis, Missouri tonight, Jan. 14, for UFC Fight Night 124. In the night’s co-main event, “12 Gauge” is walking inside the Scottrade Center to take on Jessica-Rose Clark in a flyweight war.
With the fight now going down inside the octagon, here is a look at the UFC results for VanZant’s big flyweight debut. VanZant would go on break her arm early in the fight, but continued on in what would become an octagon war.
The night’s co-headliner kicked off with a blast. VanZant and Clark met in the center of the octagon, with “12 Gauge” sending a strong kick to Clark’s midsection. The two mixed martial arts warriors then entered a brutal exchange.
Clark then forced her opponent against the fence, before dragging VanZant to the canvas. Clark struggled to lock in an arm triangle choke, but failed to sink in the submission.
Halfway through the round, Clark continued to hold a dominant position over her opponent. However, the fighter was struggling to deal significant damage to her opponent.

The second round kicked off with VanZant returning with a vengeance. The fighter stuck Clark with a head kick, but Clark retaliated with a flurry of punches.
The fight then made its way to the fence once again, as the two fighters entered a clinch war. Clark made her way to the top position once again, as the fighter’s returned to the mat.
This time around, Clark made her way to half-guard and began dealing some ground and pound. However, VanZant was able to reverse the position and enter Clark’s guard.
Clark sank in a triangle choke, as the fighter attempted to choke out her opponent. “12 Gauge” survived the submission attempt to the sound of the round ending bell.
Before the beginning of the final round, it was revealed that VanZant had allegedly broken her arm during the first round of the fight.
Still, the fight continued. The final round kicked off at a fast pace, as neither fighter appeared gassed from their epic octagon battle.
VanZant began to push the pace of the fight, as the MMA warrior marched forward with body kicks to Clark. Two minutes into the final round and VanZant had yet to throw a single punch, opting to kick her opponent due to her damaged arm.

In the final minute of the match, the two MMA warriors continued exchanging strikes in the center of the octagon. The night’s co-main event has gone the distance.
