Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Quinton Rampage Jackson is on the verge of making history, and he knows it.
Set to embark upon the Bellator MMA Heavyweight Tournament, in this weekend’s Bellator 192 main event, Rampage if victorious over Chael Sonnen will advance to the next round.
If he can win the semi-finals, he will advance to the final, for a chance to fight for the vacant Bellator heavyweight world title.
Rampage, if he can secure the heavyweight strap, will be the first fighter in MMA history to hold titles in all three major organizations.
Taking to Thursday’s pre-fight press conference, Rampage revealed his motivations are clear.
Rampage stated, “I got a Pride belt, I got a UFC belt, now I want a Bellator belt. I’m in the tournament. Why not?”
But can he do it?
