Rogan Now Off The Ngannou Hype Train, Finally Gives Miocic The Respect He Deserves

UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic put on a dominant performance over rising knockout artist Francis Ngannou at UFC 220 over the weekend, Jan. 20. Now longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan has decided to come forward to give the champion a few respectful words over social media.

Leading up to UFC 220, the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s promotion of the night’s main event has received some criticism for being allegedly biased towards Francis Ngannou. Miocic would even go on to criticize the UFC for its seemingly lopsided promotion of the event.

Still, with or without promotion, Miocic dominantly defeated Ngannou with a unanimous decision victory. The big win was one for the record books, as Miocic broke the record for most consecutive UFC heavyweight title defenses by sinking in this third victory.

Taking to Instagram, Joe Rogan has decided to offer a respectful message to congratulate Miocic on his achievement.

“Last night @stipemiocicufc put on a master class of how to defeat a bigger, stronger heavyweight and cemented his position as the baddest man on the planet.

“Through his movement, wrestling, striking, and sheer grit and determination he was able to turn back the challenge of a one man wrecking machine in @francisngannou and in the process become the first man in history to defend the UFC heavyweight title 3 times.

“All this while working as a firefighter in Cleveland.
What he did last night was nothing short of extraordinary and it was an honor and a privilege to be able to call the fight. I truly hope people realize and appreciate how incredible this guy is.”
