Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has decided to weigh-in on the rivalry between UFC strawweight champion Rose Namajunas and former title holder Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Rose Namajunas shocked the world when she finished the formerly undefeated straweight champion at UFC 217. Jedrzejczyk was on a 14 fight winning streak as one of the promotion’s most dominant champions.
However, Namajuans earned a TKO victory over Jedrzejczyk within the first round. Now the two mixed martial arts warriors are set to face off for a highly anticipated rematch.
Namajunas and Jedrzejczyk will throw down at UFC 223. The live pay-per-view event will take place inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on April 7.
Now Ronda Rousey has reportedly offered her thoughts on the matter. As reported by ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne over social media, Rousey stated:
“I love Joanna Jedrzejczyk; I love Rose Namajunas. I think their rivalry is exactly what women’s MMA needs right now, and I understand that they’re big fans of each other, but I’m a big fan of them fighting each other.”
