Showtime recently hosted a super middleweight match up between Jose Uzcategui and Andre Dirrell. However, things did not go quite as many pugilist fans may have expected. Instead, a cornerman punched his fighters opponent, leaving a dark cloud over the Showtime Boxing event.
Following a controversial ending to the Showtime boxing match, a cornerman decided to take things into their own hands. A cornerman can be seen, in the video above, jumping into the ring and beating up a boxer at the end of the fight.
Jose Uzcategui drilled Andre Dirrell with a punch just after the bell in the eighth round. Dirrell dropped to the canvas and the match was brought to a halt. Uzcategui would go on to be disqualified for the late blow, causing controversy among fans. However, the night did not end there.
Leon Lawson Jr., trainer and uncle to Dirrell, infamously pummeled Uzcategui after the fight while the boxer was standing in his corner. The infamous boxing moment can be seen in the video above.
