Boston, Massachusetts hosted an intense night of fights on Saturday, Jan. 20. The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion was in Boston, Massachusetts for UFC 220.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) locked in a gruesome heavyweight war for the night’s main event, as Francis Ngannou made a fight for the title. However, in the end, reigning UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic made UFC history.
Miocic entered the octagon for UFC 220 on a five fight winning streak, and he was not giving it up, even for the highly hyped challenger in Francis Ngannou.
In the end, Stipe would walk away with a landslide victory, and cement his place in history as the most successful champion in UFC heavyweight history.
It was a classic performance against his most dangerous opponent, and Miocic not only won, he excelled in the UFC 220 main event.
