Fighters Put on a War in Charlotte | UFC Results

Charlotte, N.C. is hosting an exciting night of fights this Saturday, Jan. 27. Fight fans are flooding into the Spectrum Center for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC on FOX 27. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has locked in a series of interesting match ups for the card.

Kicking off the preliminary card on FS1, lightweights Vinc Pichel and Joaquim Silva are facing off for the Charlotte crowd. Here is a look at the UFC results for the exciting match up.

Pichel and Silva opened up the first round at a methodical pace. Neither fighter was seemingly interested in entering an all out brawl early in the match.

Pichel began peppering Silva with a series of jabs, but Silva retaliated with counters of his own.

Pichel kicked off the second round at a fast pace, increasing the frequency of his strikes. The fighter connected with a right hand, forcing Silva into the fence. However, Silva quickly recovered and returned to the center of the octagon.

The two mixed martial arts warriors began continued to exchange in the final half of the round. Silva was walking down his opponent, when Pichel struck the fighter with another damaging right hand.

In the final minute of the round, Pichel and Silva seemingly slowed down. Neither competitor managed to dish out too much damage in the round’s final moments.

Pichel opened the final round with a vengeance. The fighter quickly made a successful takedown attempt on his opponent, before returning things to the feet. However, Silva then began to pour on the pressure with his striking.

Pichel began taking big, deep breathes in the final minute of the fight. After a failed takedown attempt, the two fighters entered a swift brawl for the closing moments of the match. This one has gone the distance.
