Does a recent win over David Branch warrant a title sho? Or what about a recent loss to Robert Whittaker in an interim title fight?
That’s exactly the circumstances that brought Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold to this weekend’s UFC 221 main event for the interim world strap, and Chris Weidman is calling them out for it.
If you ask Weidman, neither man is worthy of a UFC title shot, and he didn’t mince words when taking to twitter to shout it from the internet roof top.
Check it out:
Rockhold never defended belt got KOed by bisping. Refused fights for a year and a half and fought once against branch who had him KOed in the 1st. Yoel is coming off a loss. Whitaker if anyone has but was just given title after GSP resigned. So Rockhold is living in LALa land.
