Chuck Liddell Confirms Training For MMA Comeback, Hopes For One Of Two Opponents In Return

UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell may have hung up his gloves, but the former UFC light heavyweight champion now believes he may have a few fights left in him.

“The Iceman” has not competed inside the octagon since suffering a first round knockout loss to Rich Franklin in 2010. With that in mind, Liddell is still not ruling out a comeback.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, as seen in the video below, Chuck Liddell revealed that he is interested in two possible opponents. A match against Chael Sonnen and a rematch against longtime rival Tito Ortiz are now on Liddell’s radar.

“It’s still a possibility, for sure,” Liddell said. “So I didn’t want to get too far out of shape. I was in there boxing the whole time. There’s a lot of stuff that they didn’t show but I was just having a good time in there and staying in shape. I’m staying ready.”

“I’ve said it before in the news, Chael would be a good warmup fight to get back into it. Tito would be great if he’d even consider fighting me. I hear he wouldn’t. He doesn’t want to fight me at all. He’ll fight other people but not me, of course.”

“It depends on who they offer,” Liddell said. “I’m down for just about anything.”
