Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has come forward to discuss the possible octagon return of Brock Lesnar. Now it would appear that the former UFC heavyweight title holder will potentially be competing under the UFC banner after all.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar suffered a difficult run near the end of his tenure with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The fighter lost his title to Cain Velasquez, before suffering a rough defeat to Alistair Overeem.
Lastly, Lesnar failed his drug test for UFC 200. As a result, the fighter was suspended from competition for one year.
Lesnar then made the decision to return to the WWE as a superstar of the promotion. Following the alleged end of the former UFC champion’s WWE contract, UFC President Dana White hinted that Lesnar may be making an octagon return.
Speaking on his podcast Believe You Me, Michael Bisping has now come forward to reveal that he believes Lesnar will be making an immanent octagon return.
“Brock Lesnar is definitely, definitely, definitively, definitely going to fight in the UFC.” Bisping said. “I’m telling you right now, Brock Lesnar will fight in the UFC.
“I’m hearing… in fact, I’m not going to say it. I don’t want to do an Ariel Helwani. But, I’m hearing that he’s fighting in the UFC. I don’t know who.”
MMA reporter Ariel Helwani infamously received serious fallout from the UFC after reporting on Brock Lesnar’s expected octagon return for UFC 200 hours before the UFC had made the news official. Check out Bisping’s statement within the video below:
