UFC welterweight warrior Donald Cerrone was facing three consecutive loses coming into the UFC’s most recent event. With that in mind, “Cowboy” managed to pull himself out of a tough losing streak with a stunning TKO performance.
Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros went toe-to-toe for the main event of UFC Fight Night 126. The two fighters threw down inside the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas on Sunday night, Feb. 18.
Within the first round, “Cowboy” managed to drop Medeiros to the canvas with a flurry of strikes that forced the referee to call a stop to the contest. Directly after the fight, Medeiros jumped over the cage and hugged Cerrone’s grandmother.
Cerrone and Medeiors have been showing each other a great level of respect and sportsmanship leading up to their fight, with seemingly no intention to act otherwise after the recent brawl.
Taking to Instagram, Cerrone has now offered a response to Medeiros’ paid respect to his grandmother. Check it out below:
“You want to talk about a stand up Guy!! What a true honor @yancymedeiros Jumping the cage to pay respects to my Grandma. So cool”
