Fresh off of his knockout loss to Yoel Romero at UFC 221, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has been called out by Alexander Gustafsson.
UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson is hungry for a shot at the title. The fighter faced off against reigning champion Daniel Cormier and former title holder Jon Jones during his career, but has fallen short of victory in both attempts.
With that in mind, Daniel Cormier is currently moving up in weight to challenge UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic for his title. Consequently, Gustafsson has set his sights on Cormier’s middleweight American Kickboxing Academy teammate.
Taking to Instagram, Gustafsson challenged Luke Rockhold to move up in weight to face him. The contender also revealed he still ultimately wants a rematch with Daniel Cormier.
“@lukerockhold , your teammate is holding MY Division hostage, and you think there are only easy fights at LHW. If u think Romero hits hard, then wait till you come to the big boys. I want @dc_mma , and knocking u out will keep me warm in the meantime. Beware of coming up in weight because I will be standing at the front door waiting.”
