Fight fans are flooding into the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. tonight, Feb. 24, for the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting the highly anticipated fight card of UFC on FOX 28 for the Orlando crowd.
Headlining the night’s event, Team Alpha Male warrior Josh Emmett is taking on Alliance MMA’s Jeremy Stephens in an octagon war for division supremacy. Check out the UFC results from the night’s main event down below.
The first round kicked off at a swift pace. Stephens and Emmett mostly kept things on the feet, opting to stand and brawl for the Orlando crowd.
Emmett dropped Stephens with a right hand, following up with some vicious ground and pound from the canvas.
The second round kicked off with a flurry from Stephens. The fighter managed to drop Emmett all over again, but this time followed up with a brutal burst of blows. The referee had seen enough and called a stop to the contest.
Stephens struck his opponent with an illegal knee during the exchange, leading to a controversial end to the fight.
