Khabib Wants To Fight Tony Ferguson ‘To The Death’

Interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson and tough contender Khabib Nurmagomedov are now set to throw down for the undisputed title. After multiple cancelled match ups against each other, the bad blood between these two mixed martial arts warriors has begun to boil. Now “The Eagle” has come forward to state that he wants their fight to go to the death.

Nurmagomedov and “El Cucuy” were most recently set to face off at UFC 209, in which the fight was cancelled once Nurmagomedov was rushed to the hospital due to weight management issues. Now, however, the two fighters will face off at UFC 223.

The event will take place April 7 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. UFC 223 will be available live on pay-per-view.

Speaking to ringside24.com, Nurmagomedov has come forward to reveal just how motivated he is to face off against Ferguson.

“For me it’s interesting. In fight with him I will go out to death. I have no other choice. This fight will show which of us is the best.”

The fighter continued, “Of course, there is no underestimation, but when I grab his thin model waist, he can hardly do anything. Many say that he is good at the stans, he has dangerous elbows and so on.

“But I can also demonstrate many things that no one else has seen. This makes our confrontation interesting.

“I myself can not wait for it. I’ll try to start trainings as soon as possible, achieve the desired weight and, as they say, smear it.”
