UFC knockout artist Mike Perry suffered a tough loss over the weekend. Now the welterweight has come forward to reveal his wounds following the three round octagon war.
Mike Perry faced off against Max Griffin in his native state of Florida on Saturday night, Feb. 24. The two mixed martial arts warriors were featured on the main card of the highly anticipated event UFC on FOX 28.
Perry was coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio, but things once again did not go the fighter’s way. Griffin ultimately earned a unanimous decision victory over Perry, after the two fighters entered a grueling three round battle on the feet.
Taking to the internet, Mike Perry now has a message. Check out what the fighter had to say and the brutal injury to his eye down below:
“I will let you see how life hits sometimes. A couple of stitches there. I ain’t afraid of it, though. It’s all a learning lesson. … No shame in my game. I want to thank the UFC staff of being so kind and taking care of everybody. I want to thank the UFC for setting up this event in my hometown and putting me on the card with a bunch of other great athletes. And, uh, I want to wish you guys a good day while I sit here and ice my face.”
