Covington Goes Too Far, Calls “Platinum” Perry’s Girl A Horse Face And More, In Scathing Post-Fight Reaction

UFC welterweight Mike Perry suffered his second consecutive loss at this weekend’s UFC on FOX 28. Directly following the fighter’s defeat, controversial UFC competitor Colby Covington offered a antagonizing message to the Florida native.

UFC on FOX 28 took place on Saturday night, Feb. 24. The event was hosted inside the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., the hometown of Mike Perry.

Perry was featured on the night’s main card, facing off against Max Griffin. Griffin ultimately earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent.

Taking to Twitter minutes after the end of the fight, UFC welterweight Colby Covington decided to antagonize the losing fighter with a message concerning Perry’s girlfriend.

“Hey @PlatinumPerry, maybe having your ratchet horse faced girlfriend as your head trainer isn’t the smartest idea on planet earth. But hey, when you’re the product of cousins f**king in Ocala FL how strong can your decision making skills be? #UFCOrlando”

Colby Covington first drew controversy for calling Brazil a “dump” and Brazilians “filthy animal” during his post-fight interview at UFC Sao Paulo in 2017.
