Fight fans poured into the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla. over the weekend for the latest highly anticipated fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). With the night of fights now in the books, the time has come to take a look at one of the event’s most stunning finishes.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion hosted UFC on FOX 28 on Saturday night, Feb. 24. During the night’s event, UFC light heavyweights Ilir Latifi and Ovince St. Preux went toe-to-toe for division dominance.
Latifi managed to earn a devastating finish over his opponent within the first round. After rocking St. Preux with a series of strikes, Latifi sank in a guillotine choke attempt that ultimately forced the fighter to slip out of consciousness.
