UFC welterweight Colby Covington has been cultivating some controversy as of late. Now Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald has come forward with a critical statement concerning the fighter and his fanbase.
Covington first drew the ire of fight fans and fighters alike when he referred to Brazil as a “dump” and Brazilians as “filthy animals” during his post-fight speech at UFC Sao Paulo in 2017. Since then, the fighter has been getting into heated exchanges with various fighters over social media.
Now Rory MacDonald has gone to Twitter to respond to a Colby Covington fan. See what the Bellator champion had to say in the social media post below:
“the only thing worse then @ColbyCovMMA is a fan of him, i understand his created character in hopes for attention but anyone that likes and supports that attitude has to be near the bottom of the food chain”
