UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is gearing up for a super fight against UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. Now the title holder has come forward with some words on UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
Daniel Cormier will be moving up in weight to challenge Miocic for his title. The fight goes down July 7 for International Fight Week and will take place inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev for UFC 226.
Leading up to the fight, Cormier and Miocic will be coaching the news season of the hit reality television series The Ultimate Fighter. Speaking to MMA Weekly about the upcoming season, Miocic offered a few interesting words.
When asked if he will begin to promote himself similarly to Conor McGregor as his fame within the UFC rises, Miocic had this to say:
“No. I am never going to change who I am. I’m not going to act like I’m someone different. It’s exhausting. I’m not going to go out of my way to hurt someone’s feelings.
“If they come at me, yeah I’ll come back at them. But, I’m not going to go out of my way to make someone feel bad. That is just exhausting. I don’t need to do that.”
