UFC 221 Prelims Headliner Fought And Won With A Broken Leg

Perth, Western Australia hosted the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) over the weekend. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion headed to the Perth Arena for UFC 221.

The exhilarating event took place on Saturday night, Feb. 10, for fight fans tuning in world-wide to the live pay-per-view. Headlining the night’s preliminary card ahead of the PPV, mixed martial arts warriors Dong Hyun Kim and Damien Brown went toe-to-toe for division dominance.

Kim ultimately earned a split decision victory over his opponent, though the victory came at a cost. Kim has since come forward to reveal that he broke his leg early in the fight, having the suffered devastating injury in the first round.

The message translated: “I broke my leg in the first round and won it by fighting to the end.”
