In the final UFC 221 fight pass preliminary card bout, Ross Pearson took on Mizuto Hirota.
In the opening round, Ross Pearson looked sharp in his striking. Hirota tried to get the fight to the mat, but was unsuccessful, and Pearson was able to dictate the majority of the action with solid and powerful strikes that landed.
In the second round the two stayed on the fight, Pearson doing most of the damage, bloodying up Hirota. Towards the end of the round, Hirota had a moment, dropped Pearson and landed a flurry.
In round 3 the two continued to engage in standup, both having their moments, but Pearson just landed the cleaner harder punches throughout.
The judges see if for Pearson.
