It was finally time for the highly anticipated debut of Israel Adesanya, and undefeated middleweight with 11 wins, and 11 knockouts.
However, the first round was all Wilkinson, who grappled his way to a dominant opening frame. Israel was unable to implement his game, but showed impeccable ability to get up off his back once taken down. The round though was owned by Wilkinson.
The second round was totally different, as Israel had the timing of the takedowns down and systematically picked Wilkinson apart, until the referee stopped the action after an absurdly dominant striking clinic that saw his man a bloody mess.
UFC Result: Israel Adesanya def. Rob Wilkinson via TKO, Round 2.
