The UFC Goes On Another Booking Spree, Announces Several Intriguing Fights

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has locked down a series of exciting match ups for some of the promotions upcoming fight cards.

Despite recent interests in facing reigning featherweight champion Cris Cyborg, UFC bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes will be making her next title defense against Raquel Pennington. The two mixed martial arts warriors are now set to face off at UFC 224.

The event will take place May 12 inside the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. UFC 224 will be available live on pay-per-view for fight fans worldwide.

Three new fights for the promotion’s debut in Utica, N.Y. have now been revealed as well,, as reported by the Utica Observer-Dispatch. The “Fight Night” event will go down June 1 inside the Adirondack Bank Center.

Heavyweights Walt Harris and Daniel Spitz are now set to face off on the night’s card. In the flyweight division, Hector Sandoval and Jarred Brooks are also set to throw down.

In a women’s flyweight bout, Sijara Eubanks will be facing off against Lauren Murphy.

Lastly, UFC middleweights Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori are now locked in to fight at UFC on FOX 29. The event will take place inside the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona on April 14.
